What is the crowd's opinion of Alpha Squadron?

Short of emulating it on an N64 emulator I fear your options would be quite limited :/ From what I recall its a notoriously difficult game to emulate.

That being said there are quite a few spacey shooters in a similar vein to the game

One that comes to mind is Alpha Squadron which seems to share that arcade shooter play-style.

I played and finished Alpha Squadron a few years ago on my old Transformer tablet. It's clearly Rogue Squadron inspired, but the controls aren't as tight as they could be. It can be tricky on a touchscreen. I'm not sure if it has controller support.
