AIX is pretty cool.
1st I'd ask if you'd consider using a different Launcher that would allow you to resize widgets or change the column width. Been a a while since I've used the official Google "GEL" launcher. If you long press a widget do you not have the option to stretch it out? Maybe give Nova or something similar a try so you can take more control of your homescreens.
2nd I don't know that WT allows for chart type widgets. I use Arcus and it has chart widgets similar in functionality to AIX but black and white - there's a bunch of options and ti's my preferred weather app.
