Not disagreeing with you -- the pitch could definitely use some love (gameplay, in-game screenshots). I can offer a little history though.
This is the third Dungelot game (1, 2). Same dev but looks like a different publisher. This game has also been released on Steam -- to 'very positive' reviews.
The gameplay of the first two is something like minesweeper with RPG elements. You collect consumables and equipment, and unlock classes and skills. Each run through the dungeon eventually ends with your death and you start over at the beginning (roguelike), but you restart with the classes/skills you've unlocked thus far. Not dissimilar from the PC game Runestone Keeper.
I haven't played this one. I didn't know it was in development until today. The first one was a blast. I put a lot of hours in for a mobile game. Great mobile pick-up-and-play but also decent depth for how simple it is. The classes provided an engaging dynamic. It was buy-once. The sequel had IAP and tickled my spidey-senses so I never gave it more than a few minutes try (I heard reports the IAP were fair but didn't want to invest the time to find out).
Given that this one looks to be IAP-free and the Steam reviews are very good, I'm excited to pick this one up. (After the silly soft-launch, I guess.)
Dungelot. Possibly Dungelot: Shattered Lands.
