Will you give the game I made in Unity a try? A simple puzzler:

I personally started off with a coding-only background. Went to college for CS and did a master's in info sci, and have been working as a software engineer for some years now. I got into Unity3D a little over a year ago and just released my first mobile game today (a puzzle game, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Nesta.Hext). I got started with Unity3D specifically just by watching YouTube videos to familiarize myself with the editor and the workflow and then I took an introductory Unity3D class in NYC. I do believe that it will do you a lot of good to learn at least the basics of programming before getting too deep into Unity, but actually it itself can actually be a decent tool for learning those basics. Start yourself off with a combination of Unity tutorials but also just do some basic programming tutorials via a site like code academy or something. You can be making prototypes in no time.
