so I wonder if the HTC 10 will have a newer version of the app installed.

Can any HTC One M9 users confirm whether HTC Connect is functional when using the Google Now Launcher rather than the default HTC Sense launcher?
If so, can any HTC Nexus 9 users confirm whether HTC Connect is installable from the Play Store or, if sideloaded, functional anyway? If not, this doesn't bode well for the 2016 Nexus phones if they will indeed be from HTC (and, for the record, HTC Connect doesn't work within TuneIn when sideloaded and installed to my LG Nexus 5).
Given the lack of a mention from https://twitter.com/MQAMusic , I find it strange that the HTC 10 lacks MQA decoding ( http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/694-comprehensive-q-mqa-s-bob-stuart/ ) given that it featured on the modified HTC One A9 that was exhibited at CES 2016.
