I just copy pasted from a lower comment. Just in case other people don't scroll down far enough and miss this. I love it still but the screen scaling is a tad off.
When it comes to Unity, my best advice is to repeatedly smash your head into it until things start to stick. I succeeded, and recently released my first game 2 years later. Really, it just takes dedication.
You have to spend time making nothing right now so that you can make something later. It's hard, especially when you have already made things (I'm repeating the same experience now with Unreal, and it's like I didn't just spend the last 2 years laboring in a comparable game engine) but the more you go online to get help to do every little thing, follow closely along with tutorials to learn basic stuff, and move ever so slowly toward being able to do things without help, the more comfortable you'll feel with whatever engine you're using.
