What is the crowd's opinion of Yatse Notification Plugin?

Many of the applications of automation around my smart home are about convenience:

• 3-pole switches without running a traveller wire

• automatically turning on/off lights depending on door/window sensors

• "smart" (programmed) switches that turn off a group of lights and subsequently turn on only those lights in that group that were previously on

• AV-integrated lighting via XBMC state (turn off/dim lights for TV/movie)

• Notifications on XBMC (on the TV) for things like calls

• Push alerts for various events (with text-to-speech via Google)

I use an older VeraLite Z-Wave controller.
