I don't believe the speaker I am looking at has left/right inputs but I am not sure. I'm looking at this speakeras of right now. There is one available on craiglist near more for $175. Would a 1/4 to 3.5 adapter simply work for this?
Behringer Eurolive B212D Active 550-Watt 2-Way PA Speaker System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002C4N8TM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_KHSR1JBGGP6ZMZSMQCSG
I’d go for something like these. They are designed for what you need and will work very well.
Looking to purchase a pair of active PA speakers for house parties. I'm currently comparing the Behringer b212d xl to the Mackie thumps 12s. What do you think are their pros and cons and which would you suggest buying (or other)?
Mackie Thump 12: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mackie-Thump-12-PA-Speaker/dp/B00IN2WHHQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433047237&sr=8-1&keywords=mackie+thump+12
Thats a really good explanation, thanks! I'll be getting two of these.
Any objections? Will they get the job done?
This might be worth looking into, but you only get one, and you'll need an adapter from a 3.5mm jack (the "auxiliary cable" you refer to) to 1/4".
