I don't know.. I can only speak for what I've experienced (PC 1080 ti.. Yes, I'm waiting for 3090 or 3080 ti to become avaiable 😡)
I wouldn't say that this game is less stable than TW3 on release.. And tbh it's more or less what I expected.. Maybe a little short but that's it. If it follows the same path TW3 did I'd be totally ok with that (=> add barbers, quests, finishers, new skills, talents, cyberware and so on). Let's say that (for now) overall I agree with the average review (on PC)

Yeah for old gen consoles.. from what I've seen it sucks.. But again, I didn't experience it so I won't judge it.. On amazon (verified buyers) half of the PS4 reviews are 5/5 so I really don't know how to deal with such weird data... Not my battle

You see.. From a practical point of view your "theory" falls in the same moment where as soon as you look at the Amazon reviews for PS4 you realize that half of the verified players (on PS4) gave 5/5.. And only the 27% gave less than 3/5..
And those reviews that you see there are certified users. and I think that almost everyone who gave 4/5 and 5/5 would say that the experience they got is quite different from the one your youtube dude wanna make you believe the game is :) ... Someone would agree ofc.. More or less the 27%
Oh and look at this? It’s even discounted. What a steal!
2 of the biggest games this holiday going on sale about 2/3 weeks after launch? Yeahhhh that’s not happenin amigo.
Edit: Well actually if you order CP2077 on amazon you can get it for $49.99 instead of $60. Guarantee that’s as good as it’ll get.
PC downloads used to be cheaper and that was a selling point that you didn't have to pay for a cd/dvd, manual or case. They used to go between $40 - $50. It is crazy to me now that on Amazon the physical copy of Cyber Punk is cheaper on consoles than the PC download.
Did he get the digital edition or disc edition of the ps5?
Cyberpunk 2077 is the best bet for the end of the year. You can be sure he'll want to play that. Make sure he didnt order that somewhere else... There will be no ps5 version. So you can get the ps4 disc from amazon or gamestop or any gaming store.. it will work on the ps5. Buy thecheapest version as long as it's ps4.. it should be around 60 bucks
If you're unsure about cyberpunk.. 3 other good bets that will make him happy are watch dogs legion, assassin's creed valhalla or call of duty black ops cold war. The 3 other biggest titles of the year. All will have ps5/ps4 versions

You just need to look at it in an objective way.. Then you'll realize that there is nothing to be sad about :D .
CDPR knows that the majority of players did actually enjoy the game (user reviews and stats are numbers which speak for themselves).. CP is not a game like Anthem, NMS, ME andromeda or Sea of Thieves.. which (on release) were uniformly condemned by the players. Here the situation is more like 75-80% of people did actually enjoy it. To give you an idea: NMS on release had ~16% positive reviews on steam, and that value didn't significantly change until the first massive update (1+ year after the release date).. Now NMS it's a beatutiful game.
Consider 2 more things:
1) it's a new IP, and new IPs usually don't get that much love (because a lot of people who don't know what kind of game it's gonna be will buy it and may be disappointed.. This thing with sequels usually doesn't happen for N reasons. )
2) It literally sold a lot near the release date, like 13+ mln in less than 2 weeks. It's normal that a lot of people won't like it (expecially for bugs, glitches, bad performance and so on.. Things that are way more common at launch. e.g GTA V steam 6 months after the release had 78% positive reviews, like CP )

The hate fact.. is literally being amplified by a good couple of magnitude orders IMO, if you read some posts here CP is the worst game ever, guess what? on amazon people are giving 5/5 on the PS4 version of the game (half of the votes) .
My advice is to just chill and enjoy the game, you know that with time it will only get better (I'm on PC and for me it was a good experience since day 1 but still).. I'm very confident that in 1 year from now CP (like it has been for TW3) will be significantly more appreciated than what it already is. If you see people complaining/insulting and you're not interested in that.. Just ignore them, there will always be people doing that, Btw, I don't really look reddit that much (max 2-3 times/week) and I can already see that the "hate" level for this game significantly decreased while fan art cosplay screenshot and stuff keep being posted. Soo yeah just chill

Funnily enough, it IS actually up for pre order. You can pre order the game for Xbox One and PS4 on Amazon and Newegg. I think it’s up on Best Buy and GameStop as well, so it’s pretty official. This isn’t a slip through the cracks fake listing.
