This one!!!! Better than olaplex and it’s way cheaper Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Coating Hair Protein Treatment 100ml / hair treatment before and after / hair pack before and after / hair mask https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I2ZQJSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_XoK8FbGZ58SB8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I'm young so if you'll take my advice with a grain of salt but with a teaspoon of trust that'd be nice.
Take your time trying to find a nice smelling smpoo for the days you don't wear parfum, and if you find a parfum you like try to find a shampoo that will compliment your parfum. So it will enhance your over all smell, plus it makes you feel a lil fancy.
(Off topic kind of) I'll leave a linkconditioner to the conditioner I use that will leave your hair softer and shinier than you've ever imagined, it helped me boost my confidence and it doesn't have a smell so the shampoos smell takes over.
The name sounds weird and i know you said your hygiene is fine but when I was discovering Parfums and fancy smelling stuff, a good conditioner without a smell helped.
And a personal parfum recommendation is jo malone Peony and blush suede it's very feminine and soft without being overbearing and cliche.
Sorry I can't do the actual detangling but if you are close to Humble/Atascocita I can give you a detangling brush, a bottle of conditioner, and a tube of this, that stuff is amazing, use it after your hair is detangled and it will help it from knotting up again.
As someone whose curls last forever, I have two suggestions. First, I never use mousse or hairspray as they weigh my hair down and actually make my curls fall out much faster. I only use a heat protectant. Second, your hair could be lacking protein. Hair that has too much moisture will not hold curls. All of a sudden this summer my hair wouldn’t hold a curl and I realized I had been over moisturizing. I tried a protein treatment and my hair went back to normal, even better. Try a protein treatment. This is the one I use https://www.amazon.com/Elizavecca-CER-100-Collagen-Coating-Treatment/dp/B01I2ZQJSG/ref=asc_df_B01I2ZQJSG/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=459729839407&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14389960480780855876&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hv...
If you're thinking about olaplex, you might try this first. It's under $10. I've ordered it but haven't got it yet. The reviews are promising though

It’s an absolute pain in the ass. But I just found an affordable protein treatment similar to olaplex. I used it on Monday and my curls are still so defined. I suggest you try it! I got it on Amazon
It’s the elizavecca hair treatment protein mask! It’s not suggested to use protein on your hair very often so I use it as a replacement for a conditioner like every couple/few weeks. It’s really nice for dry and damaged hair, I can really tell a difference. Here’s an Amazon link if you want to try it out: Elizavecca cer-100 collagen coating hair protein treatment 100ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I2ZQJSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_RVPK4K35FGV3G5FH07A6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Okay, I don't know if this is the same thing, but when I use this product it feels like the same thing to me and it makes my hair so freaking soft haha
Add a hair mask to your routine. You could start out at once a week. Argan oil and coconut oil is good for frizzy curly hair. I like this mask a lot as well and use it when I wash my hair which is about twice a week. hair mask
Deep conditioning. I use this from ElizaVecca and wash my hair approximately once a week-- try to wash your hair less often. You can use Olaplex conditioner too if you are fancy. Do not heat style. Do not brush your wet hair when you do wash-- use a wide-tooth comb specifically for wet styling. Sleep on a satin pillowcase and don't go to bed with wet hair.
And don't bleach it again, don't put toner on it, don't do anything to it. For a LONG TIME. Like, months. If your color is really messed up AND your hair is fried, you will probably need to go to a salon so they can dye over it/fix it without snatching you bald.
Source: Fried the shit out of my hair in college. It took almost a year to fully recover.
I love your hair! I think that some face framing layers would look amazing on you. That way you don’t really have to commit to a big chop, especially if you use a good deep conditioner! My hair is super damaged from bleaching etc. but this product has done absolute wonders for me.
I don’t want to steer you wrong because I am not sure! I did not realize there are that many kinds of protein. I have this product and it’s excellent also

I had a ton of hair loss after a surgery a few years back, and I really rely on tinted dry shampoos, like Batiste, as someone else suggested!
Idk the cause of your thinning, but this one from Elizavecca worked wonders on my hair. It beefed up the hair that was there, and it really seemed to be more voluminous after a while. It also helped me a lot with supporting regrowth.

Awesome hair restoring cream stuff!
Try a deep conditioner. I recommend Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Coating Hair Protein Treatment It's cheap and works better than Olaplex at restoring moisture and protein whenever I bleach my hair. I also have curly hair so I hope this works for you.
Invest in a good hair mask. It's a temporary solution but also a cheaper one. Olaplex has a really good bonding mask that helps with frizz. There is also a really good protein one on Amazon that I also like: https://smile.amazon.com/Elizavecca-CER-100-Collagen-Coating-Treatment/dp/B01I2ZQJSG?pd_rd_w=OzYMO&pf_rd_p=306cc3dd-f716-4afe-8aeb-47781d60c63f&pf_rd_r=4XXJHGYWNM24G0Q4EX2N&pd_rd_r=2d21b977-176d-4fa0-8259-1d3c33623fdd&pd_rd_wg=vbwmq&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_csi_vtp_0_t
I have pretty thick hair that gets frizzy if I hair care products for people with thin hair, so I use whatever for shampoo (usually the Mustela body + hair wash, tbh) and then this detangling conditioner from Korea. It has a bit of fragrance, so if that bothers you I wouldn't use it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I2ZQJSG
And then this bad boy that is $30 for two huge bottles: https://www.costco.com/mustela-gentle-baby-cleansing-gel%2C-25.35-fl-oz%2C-2-pack.product.100702818.html
There is a scented variety of that Mustela wash that i bought from another store by mistake but even that doesn't bother me. I've used both as body wash and shampoo, no problem. My hairline and scale is super sensitive so it was awesome to finally find such a gentle product.
We have also moved recently (in the last ~3 years) and most of my health issues didn't happen until the move. I suspect (and have read in copies of the local newspaper about other people whose health ailments and skin ailments magically vanish when they go on vacation) that the water is toxically polluted here because I never had these issues before. We're hopefully moving in the next six months, but due to environmental protection laws being gutted across the US I wouldn't be surprised if more and more people don't have immune system weirdness due to polluted air, water, etc. https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/
Not same as olaplaex, but Elizavecca cer-100 is a good treatment with similar ish results and cheap
THIS worked better than Olaplex for me.

Lightened hair requires some serious TLC. There are some excellent and very affordable treatments that can help keep it healthy, strong, soft and shiny. One I would highly recommend is this one:
And this one:
Then I strongly recommend investing in Olaplex 0 and Olaplex 3. It’s critical to use them TOGETHER. And in a very specific way. If you don’t use BOTH there’s really no point. Yes, it’s a pricey combo but if you want to keep your hair strong and prevent breakage, this is the ONLY way.
Apply step 0 to CLEAN CLARIFIED DRY HAIR (step 0 now comes in a spray bottle, which makes things hella easier) ….and I’m talking thoroughly dry so no dampness whatsoever. Concentrate on the mids/ends not so much the roots. And make sure you’re working very sparingly because this stuff is expensive and there’s really no point to using so much that hair is dripping wet. Once you’ve got the mids/ends covered well, then comb with a wide tooth comb. This will distribute the product to the roots just fine. Then cover with a processing or shower cap and leave in ON THE HAIR for one FULL HOUR. Then when the hour’s up, apply a LIGHT layer of step 3 right on top (so do not rinse out step 0, just go right back in with step 3). You only need a light layer of step 3, using any more than this is just a waste of product. Then comb through with a wide tooth comb, put the shower/processing cap back on and leave it in the hair for another FULL HOUR. Olaplex stops working after 90 minutes so theoretically for the MAXIMUM benefits, you can leave each step on for the full 90 minutes. Olaplex also stops working if it dries out, hence the shower/processing cap. If you use these two steps for a time shorter than an hour, you’re not getting the most benefits AND you’re not using the two steps economically, in other words, you’re not getting the most for your money. You MUST use BOTH steps. If you can only buy one, buy that and then WAIT until you can purchase the other step. There’s no benefit to using JUST step 0 or JUST step 3. After the hour (or 90 minutes) has passed, just rinse well.
Because Olaplex is NOT protein, you can use it as often as you like. I would recommend once a week to start and then as hair heals, you’ll need treatments less often. For some folks, Olaplex can be drying and if this is the case, you can use a protein free hydrating mask immediately afterward. Some great ones are the TGIN Miracle Honey mask, Shea Moisture Color Care mask (purple label, I can’t recall the exact name, sry) and the Mane Magic Pink Clay mask, all of which are at Sally’s and affordable. And all are excellent so it doesn’t matter which one you buy.
The protein treatments I linked above should only be used about once a month, no more frequently than that. Protein overload is a real thing and it can make hair VERY VERY VERY dry, so dry it becomes brittle and that means serious breakage is inevitable so you want to be aware that using protein too often is NOT a good thing. There are also folks who can’t tolerate ANY protein whatsoever and it is possible to have healthy strong shiny hair without ever using protein. If your hair is very dry, then I would recommend NOT using any protein and that includes protein in shampoos/conditioners and stylers as well. Or at the very least, minimizing the amount of protein as much as possible. Drugstore brands put protein in pretty much everything, even in hairspray. So you’re gonna need to become a label reader.
Also, using a very gentle hydrating sulfate free shampoo is a must and using a very hydrating regular conditioner as well. you can use a mask in lieu of a regular conditioner even for 5 minutes, you’ll get an extra boost of moisture this way. Some excellent (and protein free) sulfate free shampoos are by Living Proof (Perfect Hair Day is my ride or die); Shea Moisture Color Care (the purple label)/Power Greens and Raw Shea Butter formulas are all protein free as well and more affordable than Living Proof.
In addition to the strengthening provided by the 2 Olaplex steps, keeping hair hydrated and minimizing heat styling will also help. Keep in mind it’s gonna take some time but hair will begin to respond to all these treatments pretty quickly. I would start with one of the protein masks I linked but you’ll need to keep track of how often you use it, just in case it turns out your hair is sensitive to protein. If either makes hair drier, then that’s a sure sign that protein isn’t your friend and that you need to make the switch to protein free hair products, from shampoo to hairspray.
I use a hair mask followed by a protein treatment in EVERY shower, although only for a few min each. After the shower I apply leave-in conditioner and leave-in protein treatment.
This may sound heavy duty for some but hey, after 5 years of trying different things it's what finally worked for me!
The products I use are:
Shampoo - Phillip Adam's Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo. Salt and sulfate free but it makes you feel super clean. So many salt and sulfate free shampoos just...don't clean lol.
Hair mask - Damila Deep Treatment Mask

You just need a trim… maybe a half inch to and inch and do a protein mask.
These are my favorite if you can’t swing for olaplex!
I love this treatment more than olaplex and it’s super cheap. This one is super cheap and it’s worked well for me! https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01I2ZQJSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_YX3EAB2BDN2X8PW6B00W?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Been using this hair mask for a month or so now, and it's helped tremendously with frizz and dryness! It's pretty cheap too!
Two things are crucial for color treated hair, ESPECIALLY with semi permanent color: using sulfate free shampoo AND a tinted product of some kind (shampoo/conditioner or both). I know you’ve probably heard that you should be washing as little as possible, and yes, dry shampoo is your best friend. That said, if you use a shit load of styling goo (like I do), you probably get grossed out before your hair is really “dirty”.
So cowashing is a blessing. This means using conditioner ONLY....which does the job of both shampoo AND conditioner. Although technically you can use any conditioner you like (it doesn’t have to be a “cowash” that is) BUT again if you use serious styling goop, then a clarifying conditioner used as a cowash works best. A really awesome one is the VO5 Kiwi Lime conditioner which can be found at the Dollar Store.
But there’s no replacement for a tinted shampoo, conditioner (or both)...which will not only add a small amount of tint which makes up for the amount washed away, but will keep the color fresh and bright as long as possible. Depending on your shade, there ARE brands that specialize is tinted products like Overtone, Celeb Luxury and Keracolor, just to name a few. And also Sally’s and Ulta carry Uberliss and Iroiro that are also fantastic.
However you can create a tinted conditioner with semi permanent color just by diluting it with a crap ton of white conditioner (or your favorite mask). Just use the same shade/formula that’s in your hair and add a LOT of conditioner. The less you dilute it, the more pigmented it will be and the less time you’ll need to leave it on. But it MUST be the exact same shade (or combo of shades) as your hair. And the more pigmented the tinted conditioner is the more color it will add each time.
There’s just no way around needing a sulfate free shampoo. Idk what anyone else says, sulfates are harsh and will wash the color right down the drain...literally. But there are poor, fair, good and fantastic sulfate free shampoos just like with anything else. Which one will work best for you, giving you all the things you really like about a shampoo, is a very individual thing. Yes, a good one is gonna bit a more $$, but there are some good drugstore options. One of my favorite brands of all time is Shea Moisture and there are a lot of formulas to choose from, every single one of which is incredible. Yes, you’re gonna pay $10 as opposed to a few dollars for the cheap sulfate shit, but I promise you your color (and your hair) with thank you. Not my #1 recommendation but OGX is another option but about the same price as Shea Moisture. Creme of Nature is really great as well and a better option than OGX and actually about half the price (it’s at Sally’s, CVS and Target).
One example of terrible sulfate free shampoo is Loreal’s sulfate free line (comes in colorful tubes) which is total shit and only a couple bucks less than Shea Moisture and OGX. Some like Maui which is fine and definitely cheaper than SM or OGX or even Hask but NOT Loreal. If you have access to Target, the Kristin Ess line is quite good but now there are quite a few sulfate free indie brands they carry. Plus there are loads of sulfate free choices at Sally’s (including Shea Moisture).
So cowashing rather than shampooing (even with sulfate free) and using a tinted product are the keys, no matter what shade your hair is. Also think about diluting your semi permanent shade/formula with this deep conditioner:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I2ZQJSG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Super affordable and incredible and you don’t need much and don’t have to leave it on forever (although longer doesn’t hurt). If you use this one to dilute the semi permanent color, then you’ll not only get a color refresh but a deep treatment as well. And yes, very low cost for a student. HTH
