What you need is this. It works. It will greatly reduce how much time you need to spend using the vacuum, which means you can afford one that isn't free.
Not sure if one fabric is better than another for dog hair. I’d assume that leather would clean up easy, but also scratch very easily.
Maybe focus on how to quickly clean up. If you haven’t done so already, check out this.

It works outstanding. We have a few that we have around the house for cleaning the car mats, couch, carpet, etc.
They barely put a dent in the fur. I regularly tell people I need to “pumice the carpets” 😅 it sounds silly but they sell pretty inexpensive rough glass “stones” that help way more than lint rollers do. That, and the Pet Hair Eraser vacuum 😅
What are you trying to get fur out of? I've found this, works pretty well for furniture.
Personally I use lint rollers because my dog's fur is very soft. In your case I would try vacuuming with an attachment, or try something VERY sticky like this pet hair removal product.
It's a pet hair remover. I'll go find the link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003465G9M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_9cu4FbNSDWP27?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Yay I figured something out!
I use the pet rock or something like that. Works amazing. I was worried it would damage the material, but it doesn't and works amazing to get the pet hair up.

I use this in my car

Or you might be able to use your vacuum cleaner.
I’ve been a big fan of my Fur-zoff for getting hair off couches!
I got this pumice looking thing- Fur-Zoff Pet Hair Remover (00003) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003465G9M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JGSG0WXCP5AG8ZQ0RKMC . It works REALLY well in the house - I haven’t tried it in the car yet . I’m a little worried it might be too rough for the car.
I also have this- SM Arnold 25-600 Rubber Pet Hair Brush https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00331QRS2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DB19DSQ8G704EQX86MG7
Haven’t tried it in the car yet , but I did use it to brush my rescue pup just for the hell of it ( border collie mix, medium hair) and it works well to remove lose hair .
I also have this in my Amazon cart : ANALAN Mini Pet Hair Remover, Dog Hair Remover, Cat Hair Remover, Brush for Auto Detailing, Car Detailing, Carpet, Lint, Couch, Furniture https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FH9GVW2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QYX7BTRYEP8TE3H5FQ7P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I’ve seen a lot of car detailers use it on tik tok .
I’m going to try the first two and if they don’t work I’ll buy the last one.
It's not a vacuum but when I had a husky I always kept at least one of these around. It's nothing but a stupid rock but holy crap did it make my life easier.
Yes to this! We run ours daily and only manually vacuum the few crevices it misses over the weekend or quickly use a swiffer floor duster.
We also use couch covers that are easy to clean and remove hair out of them.
This rock we got is the best to remove hair from the bed covers. Get a thick cover that can be easy to clean: Fur-Zoff Pet Hair Remover (00003) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003465G9M/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_BQZ6ASCHW0TD65NS8BNF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Or put the bed cover in your dryer for 10 min before going to bed to remove most of the hair.
I stopped brushing my dog because it didn't really do much. I was spending too much time and saw no difference.
A dog paw cleaner is very helpful too, specially if your dogs get in your furniture or sleep with you. We clean our dogs paws daily after coming back from the dog park. For regular walks, we just use dog wipes to remove dust or light dirt. Yes, it is a lot of work, but once you get a routine going is not that bad.
Hope your are able to accept the dogs and enjoy your home too. Again, it can be a lot of work but they give you so much in return ❤️.
Razor blade and vac. Or a rock and vac.
Rock: Fur-Zoff Pet Hair Remover (00003) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003465G9M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_0ZER0F6BMA5YH9TVREA4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you want to do it yourself or maintain it after these tools work great and are how most detailers get hair out.
I ordered this but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. Supposedly it works though
Best dog hair remover for your vehicles I have found. Fur-Zoff Pet Hair Remover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003465G9M/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_glt_fabc_KFK1GG9VFMPQTMQM4A1P

I’ve had good luck with this pet hair remover.

Not sure if links are allowed but this works great and has always been my go to.
I've had great luck removing cat hair with either of these items:
If you follow the brush or the rock with a vacuum it makes really quick work of pet hair.
The only think I can think of offhand is possibly a pumice stone. I use that to get embedded pet hair out of cloth surfaces, particularly headliners where a lint roller won't work. If you do, use extraordinary care around any smooth or plastic surface because the pumice will scratch it deeply in the blink of an eye.
