Thanks.
Your model uses USB 3.0 (standard is 0.9A, 5V, 4.5W). However, this model allows 1A per the manual, which is a nice perk.
Look at the Luminoodle Color Bias Lighting. I'm using the white version. I went with large (9.8 ft) which worked well for my 34" UW. It can be cut down to size as needed.
They can only display one color at a time. I had to buy two to completely surround my TV, so as a result I can have two separate colors
Precisely. Not trying to shill, but I bought this LED strip and it's worked out great for my setup. There's a couple options for brands though, so look around.
Second this. This works well because you don't really see the lights during the day and have the benefit at night. I like this one:

If your TV has a USB slot, why not get one of these
I have the white (non-RGB) one and it works flawlessly. For the price, I'd say it's worth a shot. You can ask your questions on Amazon about the color being retained after power down.
USB on the TV means it turns on and off automatically with your TV, or you can plug it into a cheap wall wart and use the remote.
I've got this behind my ultrawide, and a similar one behind my portrait monitor. I have a generic amazon LED strip behind and under the desk. And then there's this lightbulb in this lamp behind my left speaker. In my PC I've got HD120 fans and the Corsair lighting node pro.
