You need this bilingual novel for higher beginners: Viaje a Madrid https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097QGB35K The story is far from the usual boooooring stuff you tend to get for Spanish learners. It’s also got a cool cover and it’d make a great gift. I got it for my niece and she loved it!
If you’re a beginner, you’re unlikely to find the books you suggest helpful, as they’re very advanced. Literary translation is also very broad; you can’t expect a word-for-word translation. You’re better off using bilingual graded readers. There aren’t many around that would appeal to adults, rather than children, but this one is good: [Viaje a Madrid](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B097QGB35K. If you don’t mind bilingual children stories, there are many more to pick from.

I keep recommending this one because it’s written in the present tense and it’s quite funny. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097QGB35K
This is great and is written for adult learners of Spanish. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097QGB35K It’s a fun story and it makes you want to keep reading to find out what happens next, but it’s easy to follow.
