You even say that you do use software that monitors camera movements and blocks outside applications. The only difference between what you do and what the OP claims is that the companies are using pre-employment exams to qualify the candidate before wasting time on a live interview using the same technology you do.

I love photography, but I suck at it. It took me 20 years and several lakhs wasted on equipment to realize that. You may like something but you may not have the aptitude for that.
