What is the crowd's opinion of Addoncrop?

You can definitely download it with most podcast apps (I use pocket casts). You can also download the file directly from youtube with something like this or youtube-dl from the command line (tech savvy only).

Some users sometimes lose their open tabs when Opera updates. Not sure why. Sometimes they also lose extension settings where when Opera starts back up, it's like the extensions where freshly installed. Not sure why.

There is a chrome extension that allows you to download videos, it embeds a drop down menu under the video. You have to manually install it and turn on developer mode, but I've been using it for a couple years without any issues. https://addoncrop.com/youtube-video-downloader/

It works pretty well and has addons for multiple browsers. You have to install it through the developer interface though, but it's is easy enough and they provide tutorial for it too.
