If you're looking for an alternative, I would recommend BlueCamroo. For full disclosure, I work there, but before that I worked at an agency that used it and it is a great tool. I think what would help you the most is how customizable it is.
Also it's not just a CRM, it has projects, invoicing, time tracking, etc..
