Sign in with your MS account. Click "Import" at the top of the main page, then click "Subscribe" on the left-hand side and you can subscribe to a calendar via a link.
Outlook.com is an online mail service which replaced Hotmail. It's main selling point in comparison to Gmail was that it didn't read your emails to sell ads ("don't get scroogled") plus it's integration with Office Online and social networks people actually use (unlike Gmail which shoves Google+ down your throat).
The calendar portion is a web page, just like Google Calendar: https://calendar.live.com/calendar/calendar.aspx

Then click the little cog, top-right, and uncheck the Birthdays calendar there. You can also delete the Birthdays calendar from that website if you don't want to use it at all.
I don't know if that will work, but it's worth a try!

Click the little cog top-right and choose Options. When that screen opens, click the Birthdays calendar on the list of calendars at the upper-left. Then on the next screen you'll see a Delete button at the very top of the page.
- Go to Outlook Calendar on your Desktop Browser
- Sign in your Windows Phone synced Live/Outlook account
- Download the ICS File /u/muricanredditor provided
- Now go back to your Outlook Calendar you just signed in
- Go to Import tab
- Select Import into existing calendar and Choose the downloaded ICS file
- Wait for it to sync it to your phone after the Import is done
- Cry about owning a Windows Phone.
To set this up, you need to do it on the Outlook Calendar on the web, you can't set it up on the phone. However, once you set it up on the web, it will automatically shows up on your phone.
- First, go to Outlook Calendar on the web
- Click on the gear icon on the top right corner on the site. On the drop down menu, choose the "Options" menu
- Choose the "Add new calendar" options.
- After you've created a new calendar, all appointments that are under this calendar will have the same color with each other. Each calendar can be separated with different color so you can better differentiate between different calendar.
- Once you've done this, you should see your newly created calendar on the Calendar app on the phone inside its settings page.
- To categories new appointment under specific calendar, just hit the "more details" option on the New Event page and edit the "Calendar" option
- To categories existing appointment, you have to do it on the web and edit the "Calendar" option of each appointment from there.
Steps for Outlook.com/Hotmail.com/Live.com/Msn.com
- Visit https://calendar.live.com/calendar/calendar.aspx
- Click Import from the top menu
- Click Subscribe from the left menu
- Enter webcal://e-qo.de/abtl.ics in the Calendar URL box
- Enter a name like Dynamo 2015 Schedule in the Calendar name box
- Choose Orange as the Calendar Color =D
- Choose the football from the Charm box
- Click Subscribe
That's it! Now you'll have all of your games syncing to your mailbox and devices.
I spent weeks trying to get it to work. Eventually I got it to work by finding the location on Bing Maps, and copying the location to the address field on Outlook's Calendar.
If done correctly, it should appear to be underlined when viewed from your phone under an appointment.
I use the Calender app on Windows 8 often, so I'm trying to get the Arsenal calender on that app. To do that I go to https://calendar.live.com/calendar/calendar.aspx to subscribe to the Arsenal calender using my Microsoft account.
But I when I check on the calender options after subscribing, it shows this message: "This calendar wasn't updated because of a problem with the publisher's file. We'll try updating it again later."
I tried looking up the problem online, and it seems like the problem is with compatibility with .ics, and that's strange since it worked for me just fine last season.
When I opened the link using Microsoft Outlook 2013, it works just fine. But it doesn't work fine on my Calender app on Windows 8.
