Been both a EDE and a FVWM user for years!

BTW: No Windows has ever been good as much as 3.x was, and 9.x series too, especially when you chose the tiling display+file commander against the floating+bottom titlebar+start menu

You want a lightweight stacking Window Manager and don't like Openbox.

Something like EDE, JWM or IceWM perhaps?
