I've downloaded it myself and I can tell you gnome team are doing very good job.. New tabs incoming 3.12

Something to think about though: there's no black and white. I use Git mainly through its vanilla CLI but for very specific things I use Gitg (separating changes into different commits) and Meld (octopus merges), it's just nicer with their GUIs.

So be careful what conclusions you draw from the results.
