The other thing you have to remember is that most of my customers aren't techies and don't have any deep appreciation of web design. They just want to find out what my product does and how much it costs so they can decide whether it is worth their time to trial it.
If I was selling a product to web designers I would have put more effort into the website.
I have a new product http://www.hyperplan.com with a basic, but hopefully more modern, design. What do you think of the website?
