Check the folder /u/brickfrog2 suggested, also check the uTorrent directory.
See if there are *.dat and *.old files there are. Copy them over to a temp drive.
See if the resume.dat.old has your stuff in it.
If it does shut down uTorrent, delete resume.dat, rename resume.dat.old > resume.dat.
That said I'm 99% certain you won't have the stuff you need. Because you've fired up uTorrent it's already written over resume.dat.old. You could try data recovery tools.
To fix it when it happens again, and it will, use Karen's Replicator I have it set up to copy my uTorrent files (I use 1.8.2 and 2.2.1) every day. As well as a couple of manual settings I use.
Saved my hairy arse several times.
Directory Printer gives you all sorts of options on what information you want to include and how. Been using it for this exact sort of thing for a long time.
