Do you already speak fluent Mandarin? If so, you could also watch Chinese movies and television shows with Chinese subtitles.

As for scripts, rather than subtitles: for some of the Chinese and Taiwanese shows I watch on Dramafever, I can pop out the subtitles, which helps a lot when needing to look up words.
