Ja das hab ich auch mitbekommen das FB fast tot ist, bzw. kaum noch interessantes im Stream ist. Für mich ist FB nur noch Speicher für Bekannte wo man kein persönlichen Kontakt mehr hat, weil weg gezogen etc.Hab es selbst noch nicht getestet weils damals noch geschlossene Beta war, aber nun scheint es aktiv zu sein https://www.okuna.io/ Edit: ist ja immer noch closed beta.

Instagram kann man auch nicht wirklich Social-Media nennen, ehr Plattform für eigene Schnappschüsse oder eben Schnorrer und Bettler aka Influencer. Whatsapp ist auch keine wirkliche alternative, mir gehen da die Leute schon mit ihren Sprachnachrichten auf den Sack.

If you are building it for someone else, then you assume you know the audience. You can verify this by talking to the potential customers and learning what they really need.

Your friends might not be the best people to verify an idea as there is a bias for them to over value your idea because off their personal connection to you.

Social platforms have the chicken and egg problem. The user value is based on how many people are using it. And at the beginning it will be you and your friends. Since I neither know you it your friends, why would I join there?

Last but not least, don't try to invent the bike all over again. Try to innovate it. Use an already existing solution and build on top of it. https://www.okuna.io/ is an already developed platform. Try to install it locally and build up from there.
