What is the crowd's opinion of PDF-Shuffler?

PDF Shuffler works for me, but I'm not too familiar with Acrobat Pro.

If you want to get more advanced, there's pdftk but its command line only.

I cannot comment on MS Word, but there are several free / open source programs to modify (but not necessarily edit) pdf files. One that I use frequently to extract / move / replace pages is PDF-Shuffler. It looks like it is only available on Linux or *BSD, though. Although I haven't used it in a while, PDF Split and Merge is also good. It is more powerful and more complex than PDF-Shuffler.
