Q4Wine is basically a "shell interface" for WINE that simplifies a lot of dirty work. You can create customized presets for Windows applications that force them to open in certain window sizes using selected command line arguments with very little need for the Terminal.
Once you get it running stable you can make sure all the modifications to how the program opens are saved and simply double-click a button to open EQ in the way you've tinkered with. Lovely.
