Is that really true? Lots of people get into mechanical keyboards through gaming, where having a good mouse is important. Also, lots of the images on this subreddit include a good mouse. Having a matching mouse, trackpad, or trackball is a great aesthetic.

Or, the alternative is, use a completely command line operating system. No mouse required, ever. Easy peasy! Or, you could just use ratpoison.
