What is the crowd's opinion of RescueTime?

I run my own Time Tracking & Invoicing tool but I think something like https://rescuetime.com might work best for you. It tracks how much time you spend in each program, no need for hitting timers and such. It'll also show how productive you've been too!

Hi everyone, I've been building this for the past year together with my brother after I got fed up with existing services like RescueTime (see our README for how we're different). We're trying to build something that lasts and hope to build an ecosystem of watchers (modules that collect data) and privacy-aware applications/uses of that data (see our example Thankful).

We now consider it in pretty good shape and we're posting here to get more users. We hope you try it out and give us your feedback/thoughts so that we can focus on improving the parts important to you.

once you got the program installed, go to https://rescuetime.com/blocked/url/reddit.com and change it to distracting.

also, you can go to https://www.rescuetime.com/browse/productivity/by/hour/for/the/day/of/2011-04-02 and it'll list everything it tracked and you can change how distracting each thing is to better block stuff
