What is the crowd's opinion of Savage 2?

Yea Savage series might be up your alley. The "Savage XR" project (a continuation of original 2001 game) might still be alive, but im not sure. For the second game there's a small community, including some former devs.

Its basically a mix of action and rts, one player in the team is doing the RTS part - building structures, researching upgrades, etc, while rest of the team are playing as units, including builders.

Its quite different from Warfronts though, but i think its closest you could find.

For Sci-Fi equivalent look up Natural Selection 2, its more active and still supported.

Although if youre looking for more of a mass-scale mmo pvp then GW2 and ESO could be your choice. Or a private server of closed down Warhammer Online.
