I like Digital Ocean but I switched to Server Hub after they opened in Chicago, $3 and more disc, haven't had any issues running a dozen small projects in a year+.

I wrote a guide to get Laravel setup on both providers Ubuntu 14/16 vms if you don't want to use the recommended provisioning services or want to DIY and learn a little more.
