This is a great question. I spent months looking for one that I agreed with. I like iA Writer however it is Mac only. Because you are on a PC (Notepad++ gave it away). You could check out ToDo Paper (http://widefido.com/products/todopaper/). This was suggested by Lifehacker (my favorite Tech blog). Check it out if you don't like it then don't use it. If you aren't comfortable with it then don't use it because otherwise it will just decrease your productivity.
