Disclaimer: I'm product manager at <em>Vev</em> - we have built a new kind of web site builder.

My thoughts about current web site builders is that all of them try to get rid of developers. When designing web sites in these platforms you'll always get to a point where your options are limited. These platforms will never compete with coders.
​
I'd like to see more coding opportunity in web site builders obviously. To be able to code inside the project without exporting is key I think. Sorry for selling: That's we we have added a coding tool inside Vev where you can write React widgets and sections and make them reusable for designers. Beta opens in a couple of weeks.
