I have considered McCLIM but the examples seem somewhat "less fashion". Have you used GTK and/or IUP, what do you think of them?

which OS? i use Vienna RSS on my mac and NetNewsWire for iOS. i like them both. Vienna is for mac only and NetNewsWire is for mac, ipad, and iphone. pretty sure i’m following more than 64 feeds on both.

I use https://www.vienna-rss.com/ for RSS feeds. A lot of blogs still have them - just gotta hunt for the link.

I used to use Pocket but been annoyed with them lately so I stopped. Never used instapaper so can't comment there.

Oh, you need RSS. It's so much better than using the standard internet and essential for blocking addiction. One good 'rss reader' is Vienna Rss. See here for photos: https://www.vienna-rss.com/ It allows me to simply read internet articles instead of being drawn into its life-sucking vortex. Many news sites still use it and you subscribe to their 'rss feed' which provides new articles (not the whole website) as they are posted. You can set up podcasts on it as well as youtube channels. There are ways to configure your rss feeder to block ads as well. Useful, non-invasive internet.
