Hey Bryan! You'll be happy to know that Bad Voltage is in our official starter pack.
(Please ignore the weird spacing, I'm still working on getting our new site fully switched over.)
If you just tried updating everything from the beta I would really recommend doing a fresh install of both elementary OS and Vocal. That's going to help you in the long run in terms of stability. It's tough to troubleshoot issues if you're not on a clean system. If you just want to try resetting Vocal you can follow the instructions at the bottom of our documentation page.
